Bill Is Direct Threat To Changing Nevada Abortion Laws
Dear Right To Life Friend,
There's another bill in the Nevada legislature that
needs our immediate attention. It threatens our ability
to ever change Nevada's radical abortion laws.
In 1990 Nevadans voted for Question 7 which prohibits
the Nevada legislature from changing Nevada's abortion
law. Nevada's radical abortion laws can only be changed
by expensive initiatives. That's why we need to defeat
SB 212. SB 212 it written to make it harder and more
expensive to place an initiative on the ballot in
Nevada.
Nevada's abortion laws are radical. They mirror Roe v.
Wade and Doe v. Bolton. That means that when Roe v. Wade
is overturned, nothing will change in Nevada. Abortion
will be legal throughout pregnancy in Nevada as long as
an MD can be found to do it. We'll only be able to
protect unborn children in Nevada law through expensive
initiatives.
SB 212 needs to be defeated so that we and future
generations of pro-life Nevadans can put petitions on
the ballot to change Nevada's abortion laws and protect
unborn children. As we have seen in other states,
petitions and initiatives are also necessary as a safe
guard against and a correction to the out of control
judiciary.
SB 212 has already passed out of committee. Please email
Nevada's state senators and ask them to oppose SB 212.
Be courteous and tell them " please oppose SB 212. Don't
make it harder for Nevadans to place initiatives on the
ballot." You can email and/or call each Senator using
the column to the left or, scroll down and copy all of
the Senators' email addresses at once, paste them into
the blind copy (BCC) send to line in your email program
to send all senators the same message at once.
